Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Music Competition is jointly presented by two leading music academic institutions- Hong Kong Musician Association and London College of Music. Hong Kong Musician Association organized the first music competition among Hong Kong Asia Pacific regions in 1997 with the support and assistance of the Hong Kong government. Over the past editions, the competition has discovered numerous highly promising musical talents, many of whom have become internationally influential pianists in today’s music scene. It is recognized as the most authoritative and representative music competition in Hong Kong.
Asia Pacific Challenge Cup 2026 provides a professional platform for talented participants to showcase their abilities, enabling more budding pianists to step onto a magnificent stage.
「第二十届香港（亞太區）音樂大賽」由香港音樂家協會及英國倫敦音樂學院兩大音樂學術專業機構共同呈獻。香港音樂家協會於1997年舉辦第一屆香港亞太區的音樂比賽，獲得香港政府的支持及協助，在過去19屆的比賽，發掘了不少極具潛質的音樂新秀，成為現今樂壇舉足輕重的國際級鋼琴家，是香港最有公信力、最具代表性的音樂大賽。

International School of Musicians Examination Board and Hong Kong Musician Association are proud to jointly launch the "Ofqual Exam Category" The certificate is issued by International School of Musicians and recognised by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) from the United Kingdom.
20th Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Music Competition, organized by the Hong Kong Musician Association, will introduce this groundbreaking new category, making it the world’s first music competition to jointly award Ofqual-certified certificates. This initiative sets an authoritative benchmark for musical achievement.
For the "Ofqual Exam Category" participants are required to submit examination repertoire videos from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) or the London College of Music (LCM) as their preliminary round entries. Selected by the Hong Kong Musicians Association, shortlisted candidates will be invited to advance to the finals. Finalists will be assessed based on their live performance at the finals and will receive an honorary certificate on-site.
由香港音樂家協會將納入「Ofqual 國際認受證書 - 考試樂曲組別賽」為「第二十屆香港（亞太區）音樂大賽」比賽項目之一。
此項開創性的新增項目，將成為全球首個聯合頒發Ofqual認證考試證書及比賽證書的音樂比賽，定義權威性的音樂成就標準。「Ofqual 國際認受證書 - 考試樂曲組別賽」要求參賽者呈交考試片段作為初賽，經香港音樂家協會評選，入圍參賽者則獲邀晉級決賽。
「Ofqual 國際認受證書 - 考試樂曲組別賽」覆蓋十個級別：
初級(Step)、一至八級(Grade 1-8)及文憑初級(DipISoM)。
參賽者根據所屬級別自選四首曲目，例如參考英國皇家音樂學院聯合考試委員會、英國倫敦音樂學院、英國聖三一學院考試選曲，不設考綱年份所限，自行組合四首參賽曲目。
決賽選手需在3月8日香港大會堂決賽現場演奏一首考試曲目。就表現評分，獲頒發金、銀、銅奬奬狀及Ofqual國際證書。
